Violeta Capella Tubella is a Catalan filmmaker and production designer born in Barcelona and currently based in Naarm (Melbourne).

With a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Barcelona and a Master’s in Film from Catalyst Creative Institute for Arts and Technology in Berlin, completed in 2023, Violeta brings a thoughtful approach to her work.

She made her debut as a production designer on the Catalan feature film Barcelona Mon Amour, shot in 2019 and released in 2025. Since then, she has designed the Australian indie sitcom The Sonny Disposition for Stan, as well as commercial campaigns for brands including YOCHI and Airbnb.

Her art department experience spans a wide range of productions, from TV commercials for CeraVe, EnergyAustralia and Bunnings to feature films such as Crime Casters (2026) and Robin Hood (2025), and television series including Son of a Donkey and Bit School.

Always curious about the craft and constantly exploring new techniques, Violeta looks forward to bringing new worlds to life through future collaborations.
